Notice to Mariners

The Nigerian Navy Hydrographic Office provides timely Notices to Mariners for the correction of all Nigerian Government navigational charts and publications from a wide variety of sources, both foreign and domestic. The Office also provides information for update of existing Admiralty Charts, in line with the subsisting Cooperation Agreement between the UKHO and the NNHO.  To ensure the safety of life at sea, the information published in the Notices to Mariners is designed to provide for correction of unclassified nautical charts, and other related nautical publications. Copies of the Notices to Mariners starting from Nov, 2017 will be available in text format for viewing and downloading. However, the provision of Notices to Mariners on this website is not intended to be a substitute for, or an alternative to the international SafetyNET Service. Therefore, Masters/Captains are advised to be alive to their responsibility in monitoring MSI broadcasts in accordance with the provisions of SOLAS.
